BISHOP OF THE EPISCOPAL CHURCH IN DELAWARE TO HOST LESSONS AND CAROLS WITH THE CHOIR SCHOOL
LEWES, DE: The Episcopal Church in Delaware proudly announces A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, led by The Rt. Rev. Kevin S. Brown, XI Bishop of Delaware. The Choir School of Delaware will present music of Advent and Christmas.
The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols tells the story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus in nine short Bible readings, interspersed with the singing of Christmas carols, hymns and choir anthems. Musical offerings will be led by the Choir School of Delaware’s intergenerational choir, where professional musicians, adult volunteers, and talented youth sing side-by-side.
The service will take place on Sunday, December 18 at 4:00pm, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Lewes, DE. It will also be live-streamed online at https://delaware.church/lessons-and-carols/. There is no cost for admission.
